	Stretching
	After replacing a door always perform stretching operation	This helps avoid the door settling or sinking later during operation of the vehicle
1	Adjust door	Adjusting front door	AR72.10-P-0550E
		Adjusting rear door	AR72.12-P-0650E
2	Apply strip of adhesive tape (C) and separate at door gap (arrow D)
3	Loosen striker eye on B/C-pillar
4	Adjust door to dimension B 1.5 mm higher
5	Tighten striker eye for subsequent stretching operation
6	Insert mount (1) on distending iron into opening in striker eye on B/C-pillar from below and closer retainer (2)	The stretching iron can be used for the left and right front/rear doors by loosening the knurled screw (3) and turning the mount (1)
7	Press striker eye (4) on stretching iron into door lock up to second catch
8	Press in direction of arrow with torque wrench set to value indicated (6)	The stretching iron and torque wrench must form a line and be aligned so that the force is applied vertically	BA72.10-P-1008-01A BA72.12-P-1006-01A
9	Remove stretching iron
10	Loosen striker eye, adjust and retighten
11	Check door adjustment	if necessary ↓
		Adjust front door	AR72.10-P-0550E
		Adjust rear door	AR72.12-P-0650E
