	Remove
1	Open crank window
2	Unscrew bolts (1)	Rear door closed
3	Unclip protective tube (2) from B-pillar		Figure
4	Pull out retainer (4) for connector (3)
5	Open rear door
6	Remove seal (6) from door catch and unscrew bolt (5)	Avoid damaging paint on B-pillar with door catch
7	Lift rear door out of door hinges and simultaneously pull connector out of B-pillar	Hold door with aid of 2nd mechanic
8	Set down rear door	Avoid damaging paint
	When replacing a door perform seam sealing, cavity preservation and align doors	When replacing a door ↓ Check rubber seal for corrosion and clean if necessary
		Treat door frame in area of contact surface of rubber seal with MB body sealant Cavity preservation after repairs	*BR00.45-Z-1003-05A

	Install
9	Install door with upper hinge section into hinge bottom section on B-pillar and simultaneously install connector (3) in B-pillar and close retainer (4)	Hold door with aid of 2nd mechanic Avoid damaging paint on B-pillar with door catch
10	Clip in protective tube (2)
11	Screw door catch to B-pillar and tighten		*BA72.12-P-1002-01A
12	Install seal (6)
13	Close rear door
14	Screw on bolts (1) and tighten		*BA72.12-P-1001-01A
15	Check gap dimensions at door all the way around	Gaps dimensions at hoods, doors and covers ↓	Figure
