Speed-sensitive steering at vehicle speed 0-100 km/h and steering lock function - GF46.50-P-2600C
MODEL 210 with CODE (213a) Speed-sensitive power steering function on right lock
The ETS, ASR or ESP control module reduces the power to the speed sensitive power steering solenoid valve (Y10) according to the speed of the vehicle. The valve opens and the pressure oil flows via the restrictor orifices (8a, 8b) onto both sides of the reaction piston (4l).
When the steering wheel is turned to the right, no pressure is applied to the check valve (4m).
The oil flowing below the reaction piston (4l) can return to the reservoir through the open check valve (4m). The pressure oil from the right cylinder (II) works against check valve (4n) which is therefore closed.
The hydraulic pressure on one side of the reaction piston (4l) now creates an additional force on the rotary slide by means of the triple- thread bell screw (4r).
