Function of windshield wiper automatic speed reduction - GF82.30-P-4006A

MODEL 202 as of 1.6.97, 208, 210.081,210 (except 210.2 /081) as of 1.3.97 except CODE (345a) Rain sensor 

The signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1)  receives CAN messages with information on the vehicle speed. If the vehicle speed stops below a value of 5 km/h, the SAM  switches the windshield wiper back one speed stage.

• If wiper stage 2  is selected it is switched to stage 1  . If stage 1 is selected the intermittent wiping function  is switched on.
• If the intermittent wiping function is switched on the automatic speed reduction increases the intermittent time by 1.5 seconds.

When the speed increases to a value above 8 km/h the SAM switches back to the previously selected stage.

The automatic speed reduction function can be programmed out with the HHT by means of version coding.
