Removing and installing radiator - AR20.20-P-3865HB

ENGINE 606.962 in MODEL 210 with CODE (580) Air conditioning or Tempmatic for USA with CODE (581a) Automatic air conditioning

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removing, installing     
1 Remove bottom parts of noise encapsulation   AR94.30-P-5300AB
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes from scalding from hot coolant which splashes out. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open the cooling system unless the coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and allow the pressure to release. Do not pour coolant into containers for drinks. Wear protective gloves, protective clothes, and eye protection. AS20.00-Z-0001-01A 
2 Drain coolant IMPORTANT At radiator AR20.00-P-1142HA 
NOTES Notes on coolant All engines AH20.00-N-2080-01A 
3 Unscrew the bolts attaching the charge air cooler (1)    
4.1 Unbolt the bracket of the ATF pipe at the radiator On models with towing hitch and air conditioning/automatic air conditioning  
5 Unbolt bracket of condenser pipe at left side member    
6 Disconnect ATF pipes (2) and (3) IMPORTANT Use connection union to link together ATF pipes AR20.20-P-3865-01HA 
      *BA20.20-P-1001-01H 
REFER TO SHOP-MADE TOOLS Connection union (01) for ATF pipes   WF58.50-P-2020-01A
7 Disconnect coolant hoses (4, 5, 6, 7) NOTES Inspect condition of coolant hoses and hose clips, replace if necessary

    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WH58.30-Z-1002-06A 
8 Pull off flat springs (8, 9)    
9 Remove fan shroud (10)   AR20.40-P-6800HA 
10 Remove additional fan (11)   AR83.30-P-5600F
11 Remove radiator panel (12)    
12 Remove right hood lock    
13 Detach hood cable Place to the side in the vehicle  
14 Unbolt condenser    
15 Detach condenser from radiator (13) IMPORTANTRemoving:  tilt radiator toward engine, detach condenser from the mounting plates of the radiator, beginning on the right  
    IMPORTANTInstalling:  coat rubber block with silicone paste
NOTES avoid misshaping the condenser pipes

16 Lift radiator (13) up and out    
17 Attach guard plate for condenser IMPORTANT In addition, attach condenser in the vehicle  
REFER TO SHOP-MADE TOOLS Guard plate for radiator/condenser   WF58.50-P-0110-01A
18 Install in the reverse order    
DANGER Risk of accident  as a result of vehicle starting off when engine running. Risk of injury  as a result of bruises and burns if you insert your hands into engine when it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it starting off.
Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

19 Inspect ATF level in automatic transmission and adjust to correct level if necessary   AR27.00-P-0101A
20 Inspect cooling system for leaks   AR20.00-P-1010HA
