Removing and installing control module box - AR54.20-P-1257A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal, installation     
1 Disconnect ground lead from battery NOTES Insulate cable terminal on ground lead to protect against unintended contact between disconnected ground cable and ground point W10 AR54.10-P-0003A 
2 Unscrew screws (1) and remove cover (2) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure that cover gasket is in good condition and properly seated  
3 Remove control modules from control module box (F23/1) IMPORTANT CFI control module (N3), relay module (K40), multifunction control module (N10-1), transmission control module (TCM, 5-speed automatic) (N15/1), transmission control module (TCM, N15-3), ASR/SPS control module (N47-1) and ETS/SPS control module (N47-2) AR54.20-P-1257-01A 
4 Loosen clamping screw (5)    
5 Unscrew screws (housing box) (4) and remove control module box (F23/1) (housing box) from component compartment IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure that gasket for control module box (housing box) is in good condition and properly seated  
6 Carefully pull connection leads for control modules into passenger footwell or component compartment IMPORTANT When so doing pull cable grommets to component compartment off of control module box  
7 Unscrew screws (cable trough, 4) and remove control module box (F23/1, cable trough) from component compartment IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure that gasket for control module box (cable trough) is in good condition and properly seated  
8 Reinstall in opposite order
