Preliminary work:
Lock in driver's door removed Removal and installation of the driver's door lock or lock in rear door removed Removal and installation of the rear door lock
- Removal and installation of microswitch (power latch switch S86/2s2 or S87/4s2) on front door lock
- Removal and installation of microswitch (power latch switch S86/3s2 or S87/5s2) on rear door lock
- Adjustment of microswitches
A. Removal and installation of microswitch (power latch switch S86/2s2 or S87/4s2) on front door lock
| Microswitch (power latch switch S86/2s2 or S87/4s2), cable duct and plug connector | unclip (arrows) and remove. |

NOTE:
On vehicles with infrared remote control it is also necessary to replace the rotary tumbler microswitch (S87/6) located on the plug connector. (Repair Instructions 80/450)

B. Removal and installation of microswitch (power latch switch S86/3s2 or S87/5s2) on rear door lock

NOTE:
On vehicles with infrared remote control it is also necessary to replace the rotary tumbler microswitch (S87/2, S87/3) located on the plug connector. (REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT AND RIGHT REAR ROTARY TUMBLER MICROSWITCHES (S87/2, S87/3)

C. Adjustment of microswitches
Microswitch replaced (A or B)
| shown on front door lock | |
| Multimeter (01) and test cable | connect to (arrow) |
| Multimeter | set to acoustic continuity test. |
| Rotary tumbler (11) | move to drive catch (second catch). |
| Screw grub screw (22) on microswitch in clockwise | with screwdriver until acoustic signal sounds, then turn an additional 1.5 - 2 rotations. |
| Tumbler (11) | move to main catch (third catch). Acoustic signal should stop. |
| Actuate rotary tumbler by hand only when pneumatic connection is disconnected (injury hazard). | |
| Lock | install. |
| Function check | perform. |
