Removal and installation of rear seat belts - ra91001400510x(0510)

Model 140; A. Sedan, B. Coupe 

Preliminary work:

Panelling on rear pillar removed (REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF THE PANELING ON THE REAR PILLAR )

  1. Sedans

    Screw (1) screw out.
    Screw (2) loosen.
    Bolt (3) on automatic belt retractor (A) screw out (35 Nm).
    Automatic belt retractor (A) remove from mount while pulling belt out at belt guide (B).
    Screw (4) on belt end fitting screw out (35 Nm).
    Belt end fitting remove through opening in rear pillar panelling.
    Automatic belt retractor (A) lay to side.
    Screw (6) on automatic retractor for lap belt (C) or screw out (35 Nm). screw (5) on belt buckle (D and E)
    Automatic retractor for lap belt or belt buckle remove.
    When installing the automatic belt retractor (A and C) as well as the belt buckles (D and E) pay attention to correct installation position (catch) (arrows).
  2. Coupes 

Panelling on C-pillar removed (REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF THE PANELING ON THE REAR PILLAR )

Screw (1) screw out (10 mm).
Screw (2) loosen.
Screw (3) on upper belt guide fitting (4) Screw out (17 mm, 35 Nm) and remove swivel fitting, screw on so that fitting can swivel when reinstalling.
Screw (arrow) on automatic belt retractor (6) screw out (17 mm, 35 Nm).
Automatic belt retractor (6) remove downward, simultaneously pull belt (7) out of belt guide (8).
Screw (9) on belt buckle (10) screw out (17 mm, 35 Nm).
Belt buckle (10) remove.
Reinstall in opposite order.

Installation note 

When reinstalling ensure that automatic belt retractor (6) and belt end fitting (5, rotation stop) are positioned correctly.
