Removal and installation of the paneling on the rear pillar - ra68001400449x(0449)

Model 140 - A. Sedan, B. Coupe 

Preliminary work:

Rear seats removed (REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF REAR SEAT AND BACKREST )

  1. Sedans

    Screw (1) screw out.
    Rear compartment light (2) remove.
    Edge protector in area of panelling (3) pull off.
    Panelling (3) unclip at front (3 arrows).
    Clip (4) unhook by pressing panelling (3) toward center.
    Panelling (3) remove toward front.
    Belt end fitting on rear floor screw off.
    Belt fitting guide through opening in panelling (3).
    Panelling (3) remove.
    Clamps (4) and (5) align on panelling (3).
    Belt end fitting guide through opening in panelling and screw onto rear floor (35 Nm).
    Panelling (3) insert into cutout in rear pillar at front with clips (4 and 5) and clip into 3 front mounting hooks.
    Screw (1) screw in.
    Reinstall in opposite order.
  2. Coupes

Rear side window open.
Cover (arrows) on handles (1 and 2) press off with plastic wedge and screw out screws below (8 mm).
Handles (1 and 2) remove from roof frame, when installing insert into locating holes and observe installation position.
Rear light (3) unclip and disconnect electrical connection.
Screw (arrow) screw out of end fitting on seat belt (5, 17 mm, 35 Nm).
Panelling (4) on roof frame and rear pillar unclip (7 clips).
Panelling (4) remove toward front while guiding seat belt end fitting (5) through panelling. Observe installation note.
Before installing clips on roof frame and rear pillar check and replace damaged clips.
Panelling (4) install in opposite order; pay attention to proper fit in area of rear shelf, side wall panelling and front of reveal molding.

Panelling (4) = rear

Installation note 

Replace missing or damaged clips (7 each) in area of roof frame and rear pillar.

Insert rotation stop on seat belt end fitting (5) into rear floor (right arrow).
