Oxygen sensor plug connection (G3/2x1) remove, fit on. NOTE:- Turning union nut to the left as far as stop → opening
- Turning union nut to the right as far as stop → securing
Screws (1) on left/right exhaust manifold unscrew, screw in.
Installation instruction
Install new rivet nuts in exhaust manifolds with caulking bolt 103 589 01 39 00.
Tightening torque 30 Nm as reference value.Nuts (6a) at supporting arm (10a or 10b) unscrew, screw on. Catalytic converter (2) remove, install. Oxygen sensor (G3/2) unscrew, screw in. Special tool 000 589 71 03 00.
Installation instruction
Coat thread of oxygen sensor (G3/2) with hot lubricating paste, Part No. 000 989 88 51.
Tightening torque 50 - 60 Nm as reference value.Leaktightness of all connections examine with engine running. LH control unit fault memory read, erase if necessary (see Diagnosis Manual Engine, Volume 2, Index 0). Special tools

Bolts (1) at exhaust manifold unscrew, screw in.
Installation instruction
Install new rivet nuts in exhaust manifolds with caulking screw 103 589 01 39 00.
Tightening torque 30 Nm as reference value.Nuts (6a) at supporting arm (10a or 10b) unscrew, screw on. Front silencer (2a) remove, install. Leaktightness of all connections examine with engine running. Special tools
