Preceding work:
Removing and installing cylinder head cover (01-0500)
Removing and installing engine compartment panelling (61-0105)

| Crankshaft | rotate until contact sensor is opposite the position sensor. |
| Connector of camshaft position sensor (arrow) | unplug, plug in. |
| Bolts (9) | unscrew, screw in. Tightening torque 10 Nm as reference value. |
| Camshaft position sensor (L5/1) | unplug, plug in. Replace O-ring (11). |
| Clearance of camshaft position sensor (L5/1) | adjust. |
Check size of gap 0.4 to 0.6 mm between camshaft sprocket segment and position sensor
(L5/1) with feeler gauge (aim for average of 0.5 mm); adjust to correct clearance if necessary with shim (10).

| LH control unit and EZL/AKR ignition control unit fault memories | read, erase if necessary (see Diagnosis Manual Engine, Volume 2, Index 0). |
