Removing and Installing Intake Manifold; Replacing Gasket - RA14001191310X(14-1310)

NOTE:
The intake manifold can be removed complete.

| Ground cable at battery | disconnect, connect. |
| Coolant | partially drain, top up. |
| Electrical plug connections of all components at intake manifold | disconnect, connect. |
| Guide rail for spark plug cables | remove, install. |
| Vacuum lines of all components located at intake manifold | detach, fit on. |
| Fuel supply and fuel return line | disconnect, connect. |
| Vacuum line for brake booster | disconnect, connect. |
| Rear large connector at EZL/AKR control unit | unplug, plug in. Withdraw cable loom from intake manifold area on right side. |
| Longitudinal throttle control shaft | remove, install (only on vehicles with cruise control or ASR). Detach, attach throttle control linkage for this step and remove locking element at longitudinal throttle control shaft, fit on. Remove rear bearing bracket of longitudinal throttle control shaft, install. |
| Electronic accelerator pedal potentiometer bracket | unscrew complete with throttle control and control pressure bowden cable, screw on. |
| Coolant hose at front of intake manifold | detach, attach. |
| Heating hose at rear of intake manifold | detach, attach. |
| Screws of intake manifold | unscrew, screw in. |
| Intake manifold | take off, clean and fit on. Examine flanged faces with straightedge; dress on dressing plate if necessary. Replace gaskets. |
When installing, ensure that intake manifold engages in the dowel pins. |
