Removing and installing vacuum elements - ra83001400665x(0665)

Defroster outlet, diverter air flap, footwell flaps left/right, recirculated air flap, main air flap, center air/blend flaps - Model 140 

Preceding work:

Operation no. of job texts and work units, standard texts and flat rates:

1. Vacuum elements, defroster outlet, left (37) and right (38)

   Dashboard	Remove (REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ).
   Damping mat over air conditioner unit	Remove.
   Vacuum lines (65)	Pull off.
   4 screws (60)	Unscrew.
   Vacuum element (37 or 38)	Pull upwards until clip (1) can be opened and released from actuating rod (2).
   Install	In reverse sequence

2. Vacuum elements, diverter air flap, side outlet, left (39) and right (40)

   Air conditioner unit	Remove.
   Heat exchanger	Remove (Removal and installation of heat exchanger  ).
   Vacuum line	Pull off.
   Actuating linkage	Unclip (arrow).
   2 screws (60)	Unscrew.
   Vacuum element (39 or 40)	Remove.
   Install	In reverse sequence.

3. Vacuum element, footwell flap, left (47)

   Front left floor carpeting	Remove.
   Control unit	Remove (83-635).
   Vacuum lines	Pull off.
   2 screws (60)	Unscrew.
   Vacuum element (47)	Pull off.
   Install	In reverse sequence ensuring that the control shaft is turned to the left as far as the stop.

4. Vacuum element, footwell flap, right (48)

   Front right floor carpeting	Remove.
   Control unit	Remove (83-635).
   Vacuum lines (65)	Pull off.
   2 screws (60)	Unscrew.
   Vacuum element (48)	Pull off.
   Install	In reverse sequence ensuring that the control shaft is turned to the right as far as the stop.

5. Vacuum element, recirculated air flap (49)

   Air conditioner unit	Remove.
   Vacuum line (65)	Pull off.
   Actuating linkage	Unclip (arrow).
   2 screws (60)	Unscrew.
   Vacuum element (49)	Remove.
   Install	In reverse sequence and carry out function check before installing dashboard.

6. Vacuum elements for main air flap (43 and 44)

   Air collector	Remove (Removal and installation of the air collector unit and water collector  ).
   Linkage on main air flap	Unclip (arrows).
   Vacuum lines on element (44)	Pull off.
   One screw on each element	Unscrew.
   Element/s (43 and/or 44)	Remove.
   Install	In the reverse sequence.
   Connection diagram	For vacuum lines, refer to 83-620.

7. Vacuum elements, center outlet exhaust air flap (41) or center outlet blend flap (45)

   Dashboard	Remove (REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ).
   Damping mat over air conditioner unit	Remove.
   Ignition starter switch	Remove (46-645).
   Vacuum line/s (65)	Pull off.
   2 screws (60) on each element	Unscrew.
   Vacuum element/s (41 and/or 45)	Pull off.
   Install	In reverse sequence ensuring that the exhaust air flap (vacuum element 41) and/or the blend flap (vacuum element 45) contacts the left-hand stop.

8. Vacuum elements, center outlet exhaust air flap (42) or center outlet blend flap (46)
