Removing and installing heat exchanger - ra83001400873x(0873)

| Pressure in cooling system | Release, by turning the radiator cap up to detent "1" and close again. |
| Vehicle | Raise. |
| Panelling behind front right-hand side member | Remove (6 screws). |
| Supply and return hoses (c and d) | Loosen, pull off hoses and drain coolant, blow out residual fluid with compressed air, seal openings. |
| Control unit | Remove (83-582). |
| Center console | Remove (REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF THE CENTER CONSOLE ). |
| Plug connections N29/21 X 1, B10/11 X 1 | Disconnect. |
| Heat exchanger temperature sensors B10/9 and B10/10 | Remove. |
| Electrical harness in area of rear air conditioner | Expose. |
| Evaporator temperature sensor B10/11 | Remove. |
| Blower housing | Remove (83-576). |
| Pipes on heat exchanger | Close, screws (23) and assemble with new O-rings. |
| Heat exchanger (22) | Release (screws 21). |
| Heat exchanger (22) | Remove. |
| Heater housing | Clean from inside, remove any coolant which may have escaped. |
| Install | In reverse sequence. |
| Coolant level | Correct (20-0100) . |
