Removal and installation of the combination switch - ra54001402800x(2800)

Model 140 

Preliminary work

Steering wheel removed (46-8240).

Contact spiral removed (46-8300).

Steering angle sensor removed (46-8310)

Cover below instrument panel removed (68-150) .

Operation no. of operation texts and work units or standard texts and flat rates:

Cars without cruise control 54-2800

Cars with cruise control 54-2801

Ground cable at battery disconnect, connect.
Screws (1) if airbag fitted unscrew, screw in.
Cover plate (2) if airbag fitted take out, insert.
(up to approx. 01/93)  
Screws (3) unscrew, screw in.
Combination switch connector (S4x1) unplug; push the bar (arrow) to do this; plug together, push back bar to do this.
Cruise control switch connector (S40x1) if cruise control fitted unplug, plug in.
Casing tube covering (4) pull off, fit on.
Cruise control switch (S40)  
if cruise control fitted take out of casing tube covering (4), insert.
Combination switch (S4) take out of casing tube covering (4), insert.
After connecting the battery perform the following work Set clock in instrument cluster. Code radio (82-7502).
  If applicable code auto pilot system (APS) and load language (82-7502) Synchronize power windows (FUNCTION OF CONVENIENCE CONTROL (POWER WINDOWS AND TILTING/SLIDING ROOF) ) If applicable set timer for stationary heater. On vehicles with ADS reactivate steering angle sensor (32-0600) .
