Removing and installing camshafts - AR05.20-P-6992AO: Notes

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removing, installing     
1 Remove front covers   AR01.30-P-5703AO
2 Remove guide rails of cylinder heads IMPORTANT Crankshaft rotated 30° after ignition TDC at cylinder 1 (arrow).
In this position the camshafts can be rotated without the valves striking the piston crown.		 ra05001203450x
3 Unbolt exhaust camshaft sprocket (3) at left cylinder head TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA05.20-P-1003-02F 
    Only when removing left-hand camshaft (10)
IMPORTANTInstallation  : replace bolts of exhaust camshaft sprocket

4 Take off camshafts at cylinder head IMPORTANT The dowel sleeves for the camshaft bearing caps are discontinued as of engine

Replacement bearing caps without dowel sleeves can also be used on engines prior to this production breakpoint.		 AR05.20-P-6992-09A
