Removing and installing oil pan - AR01.45-P-7500AP

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removing, installing    
1 Remove poly V-belt   AR13.22-P-1202AO
2 Remove air cleaner together with mass air flow sensor   AR09.10-P-1050F
3 Disconnect ground cable at battery   AR54.10-P-0003A
4 Remove engine compartment panel at bottom rear    
5 Drain engine oil TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA01.45-P-1003-01A 
6 Detach electric cable of oil pressure sensor at bottom part of oil pan (18)    
7 Unbolt ATF line of automatic transmission (17) at oil pan (20)    
8 Unbolt secondary air injection line (15) from bottom part of oil pan (18) and at left and right engine support    
9 Unbolt bottom part of oil pan (18) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA01.45-P-1006-01A 
    IMPORTANTInstallation:  inspect gasket (19) and replace if necessary.  
10 Unplug connector (2) of oil level sensor (S43) at oil pan (20)    
11 Unscrew bolts (14) of oil pan on inside TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA01.45-P-1001-01A 
12 Remove front suspension torsion bar    
13 Remove front springs (21)   AR32.20-P-0200B
14 Unbolt shock absorber (27) at bottom    
15 Unbolt both front engine mounts (09) at front suspension carrier (28) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA22.10-P-1004-01B 
16 Install engine supporting frame (060) SPECIAL TOOL Figure
17 Attach engine to front and rear engine lifting eyes    
18 Unbolt dipstick guide tube (3) at top of cylinder head cover    
19 Unbolt shield (26) of steering joint (25) and push to the side    
20 Detach steering joint (25) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.10-P-1001-01A 
    IMPORTANT Unscrew bolt (25a) for this step and detach steering joint (25)
TORQUE SPECIFICATION		 *BA46.10-P-1002-01A 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.10-P-1003-01A 
21 Support front suspension carrier (28) with trolley jack attachment (070) SPECIAL TOOL Fig 4
22 Take off rear covers of bolts (22)    
23 Unscrew micro-encapsulated bolts (22) of front suspension (28) IMPORTANT Use hexagon socket wrench bit size 21 for this step.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  retap (clean) thread in body with M14 1.5 thread tap before installing. Replace micro-encapsulated bolts.		 AR33.10-P-0100A
24 Lower front suspension (28) sufficiently until oil pan can be removed    
25 Remove generator (13)    
26 Unbolt ATF lines of automatic transmission (16, 17), air-oil cooler (11), AC compressor at oil pan    
27 Unbolt dipstick guide tube (3) at oil pan (20) IMPORTANTInstallation:  replace seal (3a).
Remove dipstick guide tube (3) together with oil pan (20).		  
28 Unscrew bolts of oil pan TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA01.45-P-1001-01A 
    IMPORTANTInstallation:  the rear contact surface should be aligned to the transmission before bolting oil pan tight. If the oil pan is not aligned to the transmission, this can result in noise and vibration problems.
Unscrew bolts according to bolt diagram.

29 Lower oil pan (20) and remove to the front   AR01.45-P-7500-06AP 
30 Remove shield in oil pan IMPORTANT After engine damage, dirt may have gathered behind the shields. It is essential to remove this dirt. AR01.45-P-7510AO 
31 Replace gasket (21)    
32 Install in the reverse order    
DANGER Risk of accident  as a result of vehicle starting off when engine running. Risk of injury  as a result of bruises and burns if you insert your hands into engine when it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it starting off.
Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.		 AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
33 Run engine and inspect for leaks
