Remove/install combustion air blower unit - AR83.70-P-5555C

MODEL 129 as of 1.6.97, 215, 220, 240 with CODE (228) Stationary heater

REMOVING Removing     
1 Remove heater unit Model 129. AR83.70-P-5302C 
    Models 215, 220. AR83.70-P-5302MA
    Model 240. AR83.70-P-5302H
2.1 Remove coolant circulation pump Model 129. AR83.70-P-5700C 
    Model 240. AR83.70-P-5700H
3 Disconnect cover (3) from edge connector    
4 Unclip connector of combustion air blower (2) to the edge connector    
5 Remove screws (9)    
6 Disconnect combustion-air blower unit (1) from burner housing (5) and remove seal (7)    
7 Remove seal (8) of fuel suction-nozzle (6) from housing of the combustion-air blower unit (1)    
INSTALLING Install     
8 Insert seal (8) of fuel suction-nozzle into housing of the combustion-air blower unit (1) IMPORTANT Use new gasket.  
9 Place seal (7) on to the burner housing (5) IMPORTANT Use new gasket.  
10 Partially screw in combustion-air blower unit (1), turn in screws (9) and tighten IMPORTANT When mounting the combustion-air blower unit make sure the fuel suction nozzle (6) is correctly positioned.

TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw for stationary heater combustion air unit.

11 Connect combustion air blower connector (2) to the control unit's edge connector IMPORTANT It is not possible to interchange the connectors as these are coded and thus polarity safeguarded.  
12 Put cover (3) back onto the burner housing (5) and let it snap into place    
13.1 Install coolant recirculation pump Model 129. AR83.70-P-5700C 
    Model 240. AR83.70-P-5700H
14 Install heater Model 129. AR83.70-P-5302C 
    Models 215, 220. AR83.70-P-5302MA
    Model 240. AR83.70-P-5302HA
15 Bleed coolant circuit after installing heater unit Model 129. AR83.70-P-5302-01C 
    Model 215, 220, 240. AR83.70-P-5302-01M
16.1 Stationary heater (STH) diagnosis, function check Model 129. AD83.70-P-3003A 
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel vapors igniting, risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling combustible gases and risk of injury  caused by burns during and after operation of heater unit Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed areas or when refueling. Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves. AS83.70-Z-0002-01A 
16.2 Start up stationary heater Model 215, 220, 240.
IMPORTANT Refer to Star diagnosis
If the STH heater unit (A6) switches off automatically before reaching its operating temperature and cannot be restarted again, a fault interlock is present. ↓
To clear malfunction interlock, refer to Star Diagnosis.
