Removing and installing fuel gauge sensor - AR47.10-P-7000FA

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removing, installing     
DANGER Risk of explosion  from fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  from inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury  to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. No fire, sparks, naked flame and smoking Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked vessels
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel
AS47.00-Z-0001-01A 
1 If fuel tank is full, pump out about 8 liters of fuel IMPORTANT Except version USA ONLY (code 491) as of 09/97 AR47.10-P-4001B
    IMPORTANT Version USA ONLY (code 491) as of 09/97 AR47.10-P-4001F 
2 Disconnect connector (arrow) from fuel gauge sensor (B4) Secure electric leads against slipping down  
3 Unscrew sealing flange and fuel gauge sensor (B4) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA47.10-P-1003-01B 
REFER TO COMPONENT MODIFICATIONS Float and lever-type sensor replaces immersion tube sensor   BT47.10-P-0001-01A 
4 Remove hard top    
5 Close soft top so that it is completely folded out of soft top compartment (1) and the soft top compartment cover (1) is still open    
6 Take out fuel gauge sensor (B4)    
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Replace O-rings IMPORTANT Oil to facilitate installation
