Roll Bar Crash Deployment System Function Test (Section 19.2/11.1): Testing

  1. Set rotating part (1) on ONLY one of the 2 axle switches to "ARRESTED". See Fig 1 .
  2. Begin driving vehicle to test. Roll bar should start to extend (crash actuation) when the vehicle is braked hard from a speed of approximately 3-6 MPH (5-10 Km/h). After testing set rotating part (1) back to "FUNCTION".
  3. If roll bar deployment does not happen as described, see ROLL BAR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS  table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM (SECTION 12).
