On-vehicle inspection

- Verify that the battery is fully charged. (See BATTERY INSPECTION .)
- If the starter rotates smoothly and without abnormal noise during cranking it is normal.
- If the starter does not operate, inspect the following items.
- Remove the starter and inspect the starter body.
- Inspect the related wiring harness and power switch.
- Verify any TCM DTCs to check whether there is a malfunction in determining the shift position. (Refer to [DTC TABLE [TCM] ] )
- If the starter does not operate, inspect the following items.
