No-load characteristic test

- Verify that the battery is fully charged. (See BATTERY INSPECTION .)
- Connect the starter, battery and tester as shown in the figure.COMPONENT OPERATIONS
Component No. Refer to 1 Power switch 2 Terminal S 3 Starter 4 Tester 5 Battery - Operate the starter and verify that the starter rotates smoothly.
- If the starter does not rotate smoothly, inspect the starter body.
- Measure the voltage and current when the starter is operating.
- If not within the standard, replace the starter. (See STARTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL] ).
