DTC P151B-00: IAC System Problem

P151B-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location IAC system problem
Detection condition
  • The engine rotation speed is less than the target engine rotation speed during the KOER self test.
Fail-safe
  • Not applicable
Possible cause
  1. A/C compressor magnetic clutch malfunction (Refer to A/C MAGNETIC CLUTCH INSPECTION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
  2. Drive-by-wire control malfunction (See ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION INSPECTION [VIN Y] .)
  3. Malfunction in injection amount measurement system (refer to DTC P0101:00)

  4. Purge solenoid valve malfunction (Refer to applicable PURGE SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
  5. Air cleaner element restricted
  6. Throttle body passage blockage
  7. Engine malfunction (insufficient engine compression) (Refer to COMPRESSION INSPECTION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
  8. Generator control circuit malfunction (short circuit to power supply)
    NOTE:
    • The engine speed increases when an electric load such as a blower fan, rear window defogger, or headlight is activated.
  9. PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Perform the KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
