Rear Housing Removal Note

  1. Remove the battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
  2. Disconnect the turbocharger air outlet pipe from the dynamic pressure turbo. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
  3. Remove the vacuum pump. (See VACUUM PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
  4. Remove the exhaust CMP sensor. (See CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
  5. Remove the ECT sensor No. 1. (See ECT SENSOR NO. 1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
  6. Remove the rear housing.
