ECT Sensor No. 1

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT (VIN Y) .)
  3. Remove the following parts:
    1. Plug hole plate (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
    2. Battery (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
    3. Battery tray (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
    4. Air inlet pipe (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
  4. Disconnect the ECT sensor No. 1 connector.
  5. Remove the ECT sensor No. 1 using the SST.

  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  7. Refill the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT (VIN Y) .)
