Fuel Gauge Sender Unit (Sub): Notes

Complete the "BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION". (See BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION (VIN M) .) (See BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION (VIN Y) .)
WARNING:
- If the fuel gauge level indicates 8/16 or more, refer to the [FUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE] and drain the fuel. (See FUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE (VIN M) .) (See FUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE (VIN Y) .)
Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the screws.

Remove the service hole cover.
Disconnect the connector.

Disconnect the quick release connector. (See .) (See QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR (EMISSION SYSTEM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN M) .) (See QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR (EMISSION SYSTEM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
Install the SST shown in the figure.

Remove the set plate component using the SST. (See SET PLATE COMPONENT INSTALLATION NOTE .)
Remove the fuel gauge sender unit and packing.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Complete the "AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION". (See AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION (VIN M) .) (See AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION (VIN Y) .)
