| 2 | PURPOSE: INSPECT WIRING HARNESS (INCLUDING CONNECTOR/TERMINAL) BETWEEN INDICATOR UNIT AND BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) FOR MALFUNCTION

| No | Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform repair completion verification 1. | ||
| 3 | PURPOSE: INSPECT INDICATOR UNIT FOR MALFUNCTION

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Replace the indicator unit and perform repair completion verification 1. (Refer to INDICATOR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.) |

| Repair completion verification 1 | PURPOSE: VERIFY IF VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
|
Yes | Refer to the CAN (controller area network) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1 again.
