VERIFY BLOWER FAN CONTROLLER DETECTED OVER-TEMPERATURE OR OVER-CURRENT

Switch the ignition off.
Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) to operate the A/C.
Has the malfunction symptom been eliminated?

Yes

Troubleshooting completed. (Explain repair contents to customer.)

Go to the next step.

VERIFY DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT DTCs

Perform the DTC inspection for the dash-electrical supply unit. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
Are any DTCs displayed?

Yes

Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
(See DTC TABLE [DASH_ESU] .)

Go to the next step.

VERIFY BLOWER MOTOR OPERATION

Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) to operate the A/C.
Recirculate air inside the vehicle.
Does the blower motor rotate?

Yes

Go to the next step.

Go to Step 5.

INSPECT BLOWER UNIT FOR CLOGGING

Is there clogging in the vent of the blower unit?

Yes

Remove the obstruction and perform the repair completion verification 1.

Verify that there is no obstruction in the air duct between the blower unit and A/C unit, there is no air filter clogging, and the evaporator is not frosted (frozen).
Perform the repair completion verification 1.

VERIFY BLOWER RELAY FOR MALFUNCTION

Inspect the applicable part. (Refer to RELAY LOCATION in service information.) (Refer to in service information.)
Is the part normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1.
(Refer to RELAY LOCATION in service information.)

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS (INCLUDING CONNECTOR/TERMINAL) BETWEEN BATTERY AND BLOWER RELAY FOR MALFUNCTION

Inspect the applicable circuit.
(See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .)

(See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
Is the circuit normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1.

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS (INCLUDING CONNECTOR/TERMINAL) BETWEEN BLOWER RELAY AND DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT FOR MALFUNCTION

Inspect the applicable circuit.

(See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
Is the circuit normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1.

VERIFY BLOWER MOTOR FOR MALFUNCTION

Inspect the applicable part. (Refer to BLOWER MOTOR INSPECTION in service information.)
Is the part normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1.
(Refer to BLOWER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.)

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS (INCLUDING CONNECTOR/TERMINAL) BETWEEN DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT AND BLOWER MOTOR FOR MALFUNCTION

Inspect the applicable circuit.
(See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .)

(See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
Is the circuit normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1.

Repair completion verification 1

VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS CORRECTED

Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
Has the malfunction symptom been eliminated?

Yes

Troubleshooting completed. (Explain repair contents to customer.)

Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
(See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .)
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.

If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the dash-electrical supply unit.

When performing an asterisked (*) troubleshooting inspection, first verify the damage and connection status of the connectors and terminals, then perform the inspection while shaking the wiring harness (cause of malfunction may be due to poor connection of connectors, terminals, or wiring harness). If there is a malfunction in the connectors or terminals, securely connect, repair, or perform replacement.
