Diagnostic Procedure

DTC B00A0:81 (AIRBAG) (US) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Results Action
1 INSPECT SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR
WARNING:
Yes Replace the malfunctioning part and perform the repair completion verification.
No Go to the next step.
2 INSPECT SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR CONTROL MODULE SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
Yes Go to the next step.
No Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.
3 INSPECT SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR CONTROL MODULE SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
  • Seat weight sensor control module and SAS control module connectors are disconnected.
  • Inspect the seat weight sensor control module signal circuit for open circuit. (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .)
    NOTE:
    • Inspect for open circuit while shaking the wiring harness between the SAS control module and seat weight sensor control module.
  • Is the circuit normal?
Yes Replace the seat weight sensor control module and the repair completion verification.

No Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.
Repair completion verification PERFORM SAS CONTROL MODULE DTC INSPECTION
Yes Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW (US) .)
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
