Seat Weight Sensor Control Module Removal/Installation (Us/CANADA)

CAUTION:
- When the seat weight sensor control module is replaced with a new one, perform the seat weight sensor calibration using the M-MDS. (See SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR CALIBRATION (US/CANADA) .)
- Switch the ignition off.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
- Remove the front passenger's seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the seat weight sensor control module from the bracket by lifting the tab in the direction of the arrow.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Switch the ignition to ON.
- Verify that the air bag system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s and goes out.
- If the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light does not operate normally, refer to the onboard diagnostic system (air bag system) and perform inspection of the system. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
- Perform the seat weight sensor calibration (when removing/installing seat weight sensor control module). (See SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR CALIBRATION (US/CANADA) .)
