Rear Bumper Bracket Removal/Installation

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
- Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk side upper trim (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Partially peel back the trunk side trim. (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Trunk side insulator (See TRUNK SIDE INSULATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear combination light (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear over fender (See REAR OVER FENDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear splash shield (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear bumper (See REAR BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
- While pressing the rear bumper bracket tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the illustration, move the rear bumper bracket in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the rear bumper bracket from the body.
- Remove the rear bumper bracket.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform the rear side radar sensor aiming adjustment. (with rear side radar sensor) (See FRONT SIDE/REAR SIDE RADAR SENSOR AIMING .)
