Seat Weight Sensor Calibration (Us/CANADA)

CAUTION:
  • If any of the following work is performed, perform the seat weight sensor calibration using the M-MDS.
    • Replacement with a new seat weight sensor
    • Replacement with a new seat weight sensor control module
    • Replacement with new passenger-side seat parts
    • Disassembly of the passenger-side seat
  • If any of the following work is performed, perform the seat weight sensor inspection using the M-MDS. (See SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR INSPECTION (US/CANADA) .)
    • Removal of the passenger-side seat
    • Loosening and retightening of passenger's seat fixing bolts
    • Or, the vehicle is involved in a collision
NOTE:
  • The seat weight sensor calibration can be performed using the M-MDS. For details, follow the instructions displayed on the M-MDS.
  1. Have four 10 kg (22 lb) weights from SST MT04-S1-001-4 ready to use.
  2. Connect the M-MDS.
  3. After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initial screen of the M-MDS.
    1. [Toolbox]
    2. [Work Support]
    3. [RESTRAINTS]
    4. [Calibrating Weight OCS for Air bag]
  4. Perform seat weight sensor calibration following the instructions on the screen.
