Fuel-Filler Lid Lock Actuator Manual Release Procedure

NOTE:
  • If the fuel-filler lid cannot be opened due to a discharged battery or malfunctions in the electrical system, open the fuel-filler lid using the following procedure.
  1. Remove the following parts:
    1. Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    4. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Trunk side upper trim (LH) (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Open the cargo net hook cover and remove the bolt.

  3. Remove the cargo net hooks.
  4. Remove the fasteners.

  5. Move the trunk side trim (LH) in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration while detaching the clip.

  6. Partially peel the trunk side trim (LH).

  7. Remove the trunk side insulator (LH). (See TRUNK SIDE INSULATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  8. Pull the fuel-filler lid opener cable and open the fuel-filler lid.
