Hatchback (5HB)

Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Disconnect the high-mount brake light connector and remove the wiring harness from the hook.

Remove the caps and nuts shown in the figure.

Insert a remover tool in the position shown in the figure.

Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and disengage the side spoilers from the liftgate T-studs.
Insert a remover tool in the position shown in the figure.

Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and disengage the side spoiler clip from the liftgate.
Pull the rear spoiler in the direction of the arrows and remove it while detaching the pins.

While holding the rear spoiler by hand, press the tabs of the grommet from the underside of the liftgate shown in the figure, and disengage the grommet tabs from the liftgate.

Remove the rear spoiler while pulling out the wiring harness.
Insert a remover tool into the position shown in the figure, move it in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure, and remove the side spoiler from the rear spoiler.
