Diagnostic Procedure

Step Inspection Action
1 INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH  Yes Go to the next step.
No Replace the brake switch, then go to the Step 4.
(See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2 PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR PCM  Yes Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See DTC TABLE [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
Then go to Step 4.
No Go to the next step.
3 PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR DSC HU/CM  Yes Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .)
Then go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
4 VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED 
  • Clear radar unit DTCs using the M-MDS.

    (See CLEARING DTC [RADAR UNIT] .)

  • Switch the ignition ON (engine on).
  • Drive the vehicle at 40 km/h (25 mph) or more  for 3 min or more  .
  • Perform the radar unit DTC inspection using the M-MDS.

    (See DTC INSPECTION [RADAR UNIT] .)

  • Is the same DTC present?
Yes Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
Go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
5 VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT 
  • Verify other DTCs displayed.
  • Are any other DTCs output?
Yes Perform the corresponding DTC inspection.
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
