Front Seat Adjuster Unit Removal/Installation: Passenger-Side

  1. Switch the ignition off (LOCK).
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more  . (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  3. Remove the following parts:
    1. Front seat (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Front seat side cover (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Front buckle (See FRONT BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the fasteners. (With power seat system)

  5. Set the front seat cushion trim aside. (With power seat system)
  6. Slide the hook in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) shown in the figure and remove the front seat cushion trim. (Without power seat system)
  7. Using a flathead screwdriver, disconnect the connector in the direction of the arrow (1) while releasing tab in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure.

  8. Remove bolts.

  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  10. When the passenger's seat is removed, perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS and verify that no DTCs are displayed. (See DTC INSPECTION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
    NOTE:
  11. When the passenger's seat is replaced with a new one, perform the occupant classification sensor calibration using the M-MDS. (See OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CALIBRATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
