Front Seat Adjuster Unit Removal/Installation: Passenger-Side

- Switch the ignition off (LOCK).
- Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more . (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Front seat (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front seat side cover (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front buckle (See FRONT BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the fasteners. (With power seat system)
- Set the front seat cushion trim aside. (With power seat system)
- Slide the hook in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) shown in the figure and remove the front seat cushion trim. (Without power seat system)
- Using a flathead screwdriver, disconnect the connector in the direction of the arrow (1) while releasing tab in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure.
- Remove bolts.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- When the passenger's seat is removed, perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS and verify that no DTCs are displayed. (See DTC INSPECTION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]

- If any DTCs are displayed, perform malfunction repair referring to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
- When the passenger's seat is replaced with a new one, perform the occupant classification sensor calibration using the M-MDS. (See OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CALIBRATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
