Diagnostic Procedure

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH Inspect the brake switch. (See BRAKE SWITCH INSPECTION .) Is it brake switch normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Replace the brake switch, then go to the Step 4. (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2	VERIFY PCM DTCs Retrieve the PCM DTCs using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [PCM (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)] .) Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)] .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY DSC HU/CM DTCs Retrieve the DSC HU/CM DTCs using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .) Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the DTC for the radar unit using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [RADAR UNIT] .) Drive the vehicle at 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for 3 min or more. Retrieve the radar unit DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [RADAR UNIT] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the radar unit. (See RADAR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) Go to the next step.
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [RADAR UNIT] .)
5		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
