Diagnostic Procedure

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Action
1 INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH Yes Go to the next step.
No Replace the brake switch, then go to the Step 4.
(See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2 VERIFY PCM DTCs Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
(See DTC TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)] .)
No Go to the next step.
3 VERIFY DSC HU/CM DTCs Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
(See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .)
No Go to the next step.
4 VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
  • Clear the DTC for the radar unit using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [RADAR UNIT] .)
  • Drive the vehicle at 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for 3 min or more.
  • Retrieve the radar unit DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [RADAR UNIT] .)
  • Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
Go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
5 VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
  • Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No DTC troubleshooting completed.
