Auto-stop Operation Inspection

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Rear wiper arm and blade (See REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate side trim (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate recess (See LIFTGATE RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate lower trim (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the connector. (See REAR WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Apply battery positive voltage to rear wiper motor terminal B and connect terminals A and C to the ground, and then operate the rear wiper motor.
- Disconnect the battery voltage from terminal B during rear wiper motor operation, and stop the rear wiper motor mid-way.
- Verify that the rear wiper stops at the park position as a result of the auto-stop operating.
- If the rear wiper does not stop at the park position, replace the rear wiper motor. (See REAR WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
