Auto-stop Operation Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Rear wiper arm and blade (See REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Liftgate side trim (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Liftgate recess (See LIFTGATE RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Liftgate lower trim (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the connector. (See REAR WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Apply battery positive voltage to rear wiper motor terminal B and connect terminals A and C to the ground, and then operate the rear wiper motor.

  5. Disconnect the battery voltage from terminal B during rear wiper motor operation, and stop the rear wiper motor mid-way.
  6. Verify that the rear wiper stops at the park position as a result of the auto-stop operating.
