Without Steering Warmer System

Handling the driver-side air bag module improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) Remove the steering switch. (With steering switch) (See STEERING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the steering wheel side cover. (With steering wheel side cover) (See STEERING WHEEL SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the steering wheel bezel. (See STEERING WHEEL BEZEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the steering wheel. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the steering shift switch. (With steering shift switch) (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FW6A-EL] .)
While pressing tabs A in the directions of arrows (1) shown in the figure, press the steering wheel cover in the direction of arrow (2) to detach tabs A from the steering wheel.

Press the steering wheel cover in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure, detach pins A from the steering wheel, and remove the steering wheel cover from the steering wheel. (With steering shift switch)
While pressing tabs B and C in the directions of arrows (3) and (4) shown in the figure, press the steering wheel cover in the direction of arrow (2) to detach tabs B and C, and pins A from the steering wheel. (Without steering shift switch)
Remove the steering wheel cover from the steering wheel while pulling pins B out. (Without steering shift switch)
Install in the reverse order of removal.
