Steering Wheel Side Cover Removal/Installation

- Handling the driver-side air bag module improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. - Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
- Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) - Grasp the shaded areas shown in the figure, and pull the steering wheel side cover in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), (2) while detaching tabs A, tabs B.
- Remove the steering wheel side cover.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
