Hatchback (5HB)

  1. To remove the rear seat back frame (LH), remove the following part:
    1. Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Rear center seat belt anchor (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Rear seat center armrest (See REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Head restraint
    2. Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Unzip the zippers.

  4. Move the rear seat back trim hooks in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure, and detach the rear seat back trim hooks from the rear seat back frame.
  5. While pressing the top tether anchor cover tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, move the top tether anchor cover in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the top tether anchor cover from the rear seat back frame.

  6. Remove the fasteners.
  7. While pressing the tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, pull the pole guides in the direction of arrow (2) and remove the pole guides from the rear seat back frame.

  8. While pressing the rear center seat belt cover tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, move the rear center seat belt cover in the direction of arrows (2) and detach the rear center seat belt cover tabs from the rear seat back frame.

  9. While pressing the rear center seat belt cover tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move the rear center seat belt cover in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the rear center seat belt cover tabs from the rear seat back frame.

  10. Remove the rear center seat belt cover.
  11. Remove the screws.

  12. While pressing the rear seat belt cover tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move the rear seat belt cover in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the rear seat belt cover tab from the rear seat back frame.

  13. While pressing the rear seat belt cover tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move the rear seat belt cover in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the rear seat belt cover tab from the rear seat back frame.

  14. Move the rear seat belt cover in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure and remove the rear seat belt cover from the rear seat back frame while pulling out the rear seat belt cover pin.
  15. Lift up the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad in the direction of the arrow as a single unit and remove it from the rear seat back frame.

  16. Remove the rear center seat belt. (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  17. Remove the rear seat back latch. (See REAR SEAT BACK LATCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  18. Install in the reverse order of removal.
