Balance Spring Removal/Installation

WARNING:

If the balance spring is removed without supporting the trunk lid, the trunk lid may fall off and cause injury. When removing the balance spring, always use two persons to perform the work.

Using a crescent wrench, remove the balance spring in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure from the trunk lid hinge.

Remove the LH side balance spring shown in the figure from the hooks.

Remove the RH side balance spring shown in the figure from the hooks.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
