Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Remove the following parts:
1. Trunk lid recess (See TRUNK LID RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2. Trunk lid trim (See TRUNK LID TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Trunk lid opener switch (See TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Verify the continuity of trunk lid opener switch terminals A and C.

If not as indicated in the table, replace the trunk lid opener switch.
