Door Adjustment

Measure the gap and height difference between the door and the body.
- If the measured value exceeds the standard clearance, adjust the door using the following procedure.
Loosen the door hinge installation bolts and adjust the door.

Standard clearance
1. 2.7-4.5 mm {0.11-0.17 in}
2. -1.0-1.0 mm {-0.039-0.039 in}
3. 2.5-4.5 mm {0.10-0.17 in}
4. -1.0-1.0 mm {-0.039-0.039 in}
5. 2.8-4.5 mm {0.12-0.17 in}
6. -1.0-1.0 mm {-0.039-0.039 in}
Tighten the door hinge installation bolts. (See FRONT DOOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) (See REAR DOOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
If the door does not open/close smoothly, adjust the door by loosening the door lock striker installation screws. (See DOOR LOCK STRIKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Spray or pour water on the door and surrounding area using a hose or a high pressure car wash machine, and verify that there is no water leakage.
