Cd Player Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Console side panel (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Shift lever knob (MTX) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
    4. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Insert the SSTs (removing tool)  into the positions shown in the figure and disengage the CD player from the front console.

  4. Pull the SSTs (removing tool)  in the direction shown in the figure and remove the CD player from the front console.

  5. Disconnect the connector.

  6. Remove the CD player.
  7. While pulling the SSTs (removing tool)  in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure, press the CD player spring in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure.
