Oil Seal (Differential) Replacement

- Remove the aerodynamic under cover and the splash shield as a single unit. (See AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Drain the manual transaxle oil. (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT .)
- Disconnect the drive shaft (LH) from the MTX. (See DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the drive shaft (RH) from the joint shaft. (See DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the joint shaft. (See JOINT SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the oil seals using a flathead screwdriver.
- Using the SST and a hammer, tap a new oil seal (LH) in evenly until the SST contacts the transaxle case.
- Using the SST and a hammer, tap a new oil seal (RH) in evenly until the SST contacts the clutch housing.
- Coat the lip of each oil seal with manual transaxle oil.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Add the specified amount of specified transaxle oil. (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT .)
