Road Test Procedure

NOTE: The NORMAL mode and SLOPE mode are automatically selected by the TCM in "D" range. The TCM shifts to SLOPE mode when the uphill grade is about 5 percent or more, and shifts to NORMAL mode when the uphill grade is about 3 percent or less.

Drive vehicle with wide open throttle, half throttle, closed throttle position and kickdown. Verify that following shifts are obtained:

Decelerate vehicle under the following conditions and verify the engine braking effect based on the turbine and engine speeds:

Drive the vehicle and verify that TCC operation is obtained in 4th and 5th in "D" range. Shift points must be as specified. See SHIFT SPEED SPECIFICATIONS .
