Rear Parking Brake Cable Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Loosen the adjusting nut. (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER ADJUSTMENT .)
  2. Remove the rear tunnel member. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
  3. Remove the TWC from the main silencer. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
  4. Remove the TWC from the TWC hanger rubber (main silencer side). (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
  5. Remove the fuel tank protector. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
  6. Remove the insulator (No.2), insulator (No.3) and insulator (No.4). (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
  7. Remove the clips.

  8. Remove the rear parking brake cable from the front parking brake cable.
  9. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  11. After installation, inspect the parking brake lever stroke. (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER INSPECTION .)
