Diagnostic Procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY Verify related Service Information availability. Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information. If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY VEHICLE DRIVING CONDITIONS Verify vehicle driving conditions when a DTC P1783:00 is output according to the customer reports. Has the vehicle been driven at a high engine load?	Yes	Go to Step 5. Inform the customer that the ATX temperature is high due to high engine load driving.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	INSPECT FOR ATF LEAKAGE Verify that there is no ATF leaking from the transaxle case, and the connecting surfaces of the transaxle and the engine. Is any ATF leakage verified?	Yes	After repairing the spot where there is ATF leakage, adjust the ATF level, then go to Step 5. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) LEVEL ADJUSTMENT .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	INSPECT ATF CONDITION Inspect the ATF condition. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) INSPECTION .) Is it normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
4		No	Replace the ATF, then go to next step. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT .)
5	VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED Clear the DTC using the M-MDS. Switch the ignition OFF (LOCK), then switch it ON. Verify the DTCs recorded in the TCM. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the TCM, then go to the next step. (See TCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
5		No	Go to the next step.
6	VERIFY NO DTCs ARE PRESENT Perform the "Reading DTCs Procedure". (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC INSPECTION .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC TABLE .)
6		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
