Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) Replacement

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

WARNING:

A hot transaxle and ATF can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before changing the ATF.

CAUTION:

Do not remove the blind cap because it is not a removable part.

NOTE:

The following procedure is for draining the ATF from the oil pan, not for complete replacement of the ATF.

Remove the overflow plug, and the O-ring.

Remove the overflow tube, and the gasket, and drain the ATF.

Install the new gasket, and overflow tube.
Tightening torque
- 24-54 N.m {2.5-5.5 kgf.m, 18-39 ft.lbf}
Temporarily tighten the overflow plug reusing the O-ring.
Adjust the ATF level. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) LEVEL ADJUSTMENT .)
